Lego Robotics Club

FIRST® LEGO® League introduces young people, ages 9 to 14 (grades 4-8), to the fun and excitement of science and technology. In FLL, the children do the work; like program an autonomous robot (using the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robot set) to score points on a thematic playing surface, create innovative solutions to a problem, all while being guided by the FLL Core Values. These three elements – the Robot Game, Project, and FLL Core Values – make up what is called the yearly Challenge. This year’s Challenge is ANIMAL ALLIES.

The ProjectPrint

In the FLL® ANIMAL ALLIES Project, teams will:

  • Identify a problem with the way we interact with animals.
  • Design an innovative solution to the problem they select
  • Share their problem and solution with others

Programming Resources

EV3Software_Lobby_x50We don’t have a ton of time in our club meetings, so it will be very beneficial if club members can study and work on programs at home. You can download the EV3 Software at home and learn a lot on your own!

Download the Software

You can download the Mindstorms EV3 Program yourself and work on programs at home as well as go through tutorials and try challenges and games within the program.
