Dear Parents,

Thank you for your attendance at Back to School Night, at our WatchDOGS pizza party kickoff, and for helping us get the 2012-2013 school year off to a great start!

We are proud of Fort Caspar Academy’s tradition of leading Natrona County School District in achievement and took some time to celebrate our continued success prior to school starting.  While we celebrate our successes, we are at the same time committed to working with a sense of urgency to ensure continuous improvement in every area. Our goal teams have already met to study data and move toward making recommendations to our Building Leadership Team, and our Building Leadership Team has already passed a proposal brought forth by our Enrichment Team for a new enrichment program.  To find out what goal teams are doing and learn about many other exciting things happening at our school, please visit our new website:  We urge you to visit this site often for news about our school, including future Principal’s Memos.  We will also be placing a link under Parent Resources to the District’s Infinite Campus Parent Portal where you will be able to review your child’s grades, attendance and other information.  We would like each family to obtain an account.  Please call the following number between 7:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday to obtain your Parent Portal Account:  253-5306

Several of you have expressed concern about the safety issues in our parking lot. We have been working on those issues and are making progress.  On September 19, I was able, along with our Governing Council Chairman Mike Brown, to present a proposal to the Board Facilities Committee to build a sidewalk on the east side of our property and to replace the rocks in the divider between the parking lot and drive thru lane on the east side of the school with a sidewalk.  We received tentative approval and hope to get the work done this year.  A railing along this sidewalk was not approved, but we are seeking ways to get one donated and put in without District funding.  We are also getting the entrance curb painted yellow to remind parents that they may not stop their vehicles in the entrance to the parking area. Updates will be posted on our website under School Improvement – Goal Teams – Safe Schools.

As we continue to work toward our vision of becoming the best elementary school in the world, we need all of you to become involved.  Please take some time today to get on our new website where you can learn about what is happening at Fort Caspar and discover ways you can get involved.  Almost any question that you may have regarding Fort Caspar Academy can be answered at
